Production of Nardil to cease?
Question:
Does anyone know if it is true that Pfizer/Parke-Davis is going to stop producing Nardil in August? My mother was told this by her doctor today, but she was incorrectly told the same thing in 1995 by her previous doctor, which resulted in two hellish years until she discovered that Nardil had in fact been available the whole time. My mother has tried many different medications and Nardil is the only one which helps her. Does anyone know if this report of Nardil’s impending disappearance is true and if so, if there is any indication that another company might continue to produce it? Jon

Geesh, that being the case, I’m in big pooh-pooh, too! I take Parnate, Nardil’s evil twin. If they were going to kill one, Nardil wouldn’t be the one. I don’t think this is the case. But, I’ll admit I heard something, too. Nothing definite though. I’m still trying to cope with the Synthroid drama. You poor mom

I would suggest going right to the source = contact pfizer themselves. They have an easy to find website – just to a search. If that doesn’t work out, ask your pharmacist.
